More than outer travels, this series takes you on an inner journey, as our inner kids,
Joanie and Little Ralph, grow up. And they teach our adults, Joyanna and Ralph (Van), how to
have fun, as they travel across the country: coast-to-coast and border-to-border. Along the way,
they learn lessons, in the form of experiential aides, from their Tour Guide (God) on their inner
spiritual journey that correlates with their outer travels, as they visit family and friends, and even freedomers (inmates seeking inner freedom), with whom Joyanna has corresponded, some for over twenty-years, during her ministry-by-mail with prisoners.
Now, in their 35 ft. Holiday Rambler (named Freedom), she and her husband, Van
(recently retired), take to the road, learning how to live within their meager Social Security
Retirement income, and still have fun: free parking at Flying J Truck Stops, Wal-mart parking
lots, casinos and driveways make it possible, and the Golden Age Card for National
Campgrounds cuts costs. But they also allow time and money to park in special places, like
Kah-nee-ta Hot Springs in Oregon ($35.00 a night), and Riverside RV Park in Laughlin, Nv.
($385.00 month; it's increased now); and to attend special events, such as Debbie Reynolds, or Roger Whitaker concerts, and Elvis's Graceland; or take bus tours in New Orleans.

Dawning of the New Millennium
New Year's Eve in California brings us into the New Millennium, 2000, then moving on through Texas and the Gulf States to Tampa, Florida; visiting family, friends, and freedomers, attending a Leadership Training, and experiencing Van's first hospital sojourn. Return to Colorado for birth of great-granddaughter, Micayla.
A new adventure, not on wheels, but on-line, as Inner Freedom Ministry website is given birth. More inner adventures, as Joyanna overcomes fears of criticism and rejection, and moves forward. Prosperity and Abundance are the by-words.

We begin another journey, leaving Denver July 3, and stop at Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs where we see a replica of the Phoenix Mine shaft (a very deep hole), which gave me the title for this book, as Van continues his inner Journey Out of the Hole.
